A Relay and Instrumentation Technician performs some or all of the following:

  • Diagnose and repair data acquisition and code systems
  • Diagnose and repair devices and computers
  • Test vital signal control relays
  • Diagnose and repair power systems

Restoration Mason

A Restoration Mason:

  • Prepares mortars
  • Cuts out and fills joints
  • Repairs or resets bricks, stone and terra cotta blocks in ashlar, rubble and brickwork.
  • Drills, grouts and pins fractured stones
  • Resets copings
  • Caries out washing and mechanical or chemical cleaning

Retail Meat Cutter

A Retail Meat Cutter prepares meat and poultry for the retail market by:

  • Demonstrating safe working practices and techniques
  • Applying general work practices and merchandising
  • Setting up and operating machinery
  • Performing business practices / customer relations
  • Preparing beef cuts
  • Preparing pork cuts
  • Preparing lamb cuts
  • Preparing veal cuts
  • Preparing poultry cuts
  • Preparing meat for sausage making

Roofer

A Roofer installs, repairs and replaces flat and sloped roofs involving a variety of materials with different application methods including shingles, slate, shakes, and roofing tiles on sloped roofs and membrane systems. Specifically, a Roofer:

  • installs, repairs and replaces flat and sloped roof systems
  • works with membrane roofing systems
  • installs, replaces and repairs shingles, slate, shakes and roofing tiles on sloped roofs, green roofs and solar panels
  • waterproofs and damp-proofs roof systems

Saddlery

A Saddler:

  • Designs, manufactures, rebuilds, and repairs saddles, saddle trees, harnesses, riding boots and associated tack for equestrian disciplines

Saw Filer/Fitter

A Saw Filer/Fitter:

  • Maintains wood sawing machines in lumber or paper mills
  • Files grooved, contoured and irregular surfaces of knives, saw blades and metal objects
  • Repairs, sets and sharpens bandsaws, chainsaws, handsaws, circular saws and other types of saw blades
  • Troubleshoots sawing machinery and analyzing faults for corrective or repair action

Small Engine Technician

A Small Engine Technician diagnoses, repairs and maintains, small to medium sized engine and engine-related systems for off-road vehicles and powered equipment. Specifically, a Small Engine Technician repairs and maintains off-road vehicles and powered equipment systems, including:

  • engine fuel management systems
  • engine electrical systems
  • frames, steering and suspension systems
  • transmission and auxiliary power systems
  • braking systems
  • compressed air supply systems and hydraulic systems

Special Events Coordinator

A Special Events Coordinator:

  • Assists in the coordination and execution of events such as meetings, conferences and conventions, sporting events, fundraising events, festivals, consumer and trade shows, incentive programs, product launches and weddings

Surface Blaster

A Surface Blaster:

  • Assesses the pre-blast area and site, controls the blast area, designs and implements the blast, loads blast holes, hooks up and initiates shot and assesses blast results

Surface Mount Assembler

A Surface Mount Assembler may perform some of all of the following:

  • Solder and manually bond or assemble various electronic components such as transistors, diodes, capacitors, integrated circuits, wires and other electronic parts
  • Install mount, fasten, align and adjust parts, components, to subassemblies and assemblies
  • Set-up, operate and monitor automatic and semi-automatic machines to position, solder/bond and clean prescribed components on printed circuit boards
  • Operate and monitor process equipment including automatic and semi-automatic machines to fabricate electronic components, solder, clean, seal and stamp components and perform other process operations as specified
  • Set-up process equipment and adhere to clean room procedures as required
  • Inspect electronic components and assemblies to ensure correct component selection and placement, wiring and soldering quality, location, breaks in circuitry and line spacing in printed circuit boards and other specified requirements while products are being assembled or fabricated.
