A Pressure Systems Welder:

  • Welds metal plates, shells, tubes, drums and structures to assemble and repair boilers and pressure systems to meet pressure test standards.

Process Operator – Power

A Process Operator—Power operates, monitors, adjusts and maintains processing systems and equipment by:

  • Performing operator and outside operator duties and satellite control room operations
  • Operating electronic or computerized control panels
  • Controlling process start up and shut down and performing troubleshooting duties
  • Monitoring outside process equipment
  • Adjusting equipment, valves, pumps and controls, and process equipment
  • Completing required maintenance documentation
  • Preparing process units or production equipment for maintenance
  • Sampling, testing and preparing reports on process operations
  • Participating in safety audits and programs, and providing emergency response

Recreation Vehicle Technician

A Recreation Vehicle Technician works on the various systems and components of recreational vehicles, accomodation units, such as electrical, plumbing, propane gas, appliances, exterior and interior, structural frames, exterior and interior finishing components. They may work for dealerships, repair shops, manufacturers or may be self-employed. Specifically, a Recreation Vehicle Technician:

  • services, repairs, and maintains recreational vehicle systems such as: plumbing and gas, electrical and electronic, heating, refrigeration, and air-conditioning, hitching, towing and trailer braking unit, chassis, undercarriage and running gear, appliances, and accessories (including analysing performance and function, replacing, adjusting, cleaning, resetting, reprogramming, testing and verifying, recommending for service)
  • installs, services, repairs, tests and inspects the interior wiring, piping, exterior panels, interior cabinets, windows, doors, and accessories on the trailers or accommodation units of recreation vehicles (including analysing performance and function, replacing, adjusting, cleaning, resetting, reprogramming, testing and verifying, recommending for service)
  • estimates repair, replacement, and installation costs and completes job documentation
  • explains repair work and demonstrates operation of repaired system or component to customer’s satisfaction

Reinforcing Rodworker

A Reinforcing Rodworker reinforces a wide variety of concrete constructions including but not limited to buildings, landscape features, parking garages, caissons, highways, bridges, wind turbines, stadiums and towers by using reinforcing steel, composite materials, welded wire mesh, post-tensioning systems and any other concrete reinforcements. Specifically, a Reinforcing Rodworker:

  • cuts and bends reinforcing materials according to design specifications and drawings
  •  fabricates, pre-fabricates and installs reinforcing steel, composite materials, welded wire mesh, post-tensioning systems and any other concrete reinforcements.
  • operates and maintains tools, aerial work platforms, forklifts and telehandlers
  • prepares reinforcing and post-tensioning materials for hoisting
  • rigs and hoists materials and equipment
  • splices reinforcing steel by welding or installing mechanical splices
  • installs, stresses and grouts post-tensioning systems
